Universal Fence LLC gets my highest recommendation.  The quality of their materials and workmanship is top notch.  They understood our needs, recommended a material that would last and be relatively impervious to the weather, and made suggestions to improve the fence layout.  They installed the fence even sooner than promised.  They cleaned up the work site.  Their price was better than the big fence companies. Universal Fence is an excellent company. I reached out to them requesting a quote and Jose quickly responded and scheduled a time to come out for a survey. He arrived when he said he would and presented a great variety of choices for the project. We discussed various designs and worked out a great plan.
After letting him know I had a bad experience with an unlicensed contractor Jose put my mind at ease by confirming they are bonded, insured and are a licensed contractor in the state of Virginia (always verify licenses on the DPOR website).

Universal Fence is hands down the company to use for fencing. Our nearly 20-year-old fence was in desperate need of replacement. Jose gave me an estimate lower than estimates received from three other companies. Even though the quote was more than fair, we had to put off replacement for several months due to budgetary reasons. Jose followed up with us a few times and was patient and understanding with our timeline. When we were ready to replace the fence, Jose scheduled us quickly. He also worked with our schedule knowing that we often have kids and dogs in our yard. Our fence was completed in one day. We had special requests for the gates and latches because of the kids and dogs and the building team was more than accommodating. We've received so many compliments on the fence. I was hoping Universal Fence lived up to the positive ratings I'd seen while researching companies, and they did not disappoint - in fact, they exceeded our expectations! Jose was wonderful to deal with and helped move up our installation by a week when we had a situation that required the fence be completed as soon as possible. The crew was great- even working in the rain!- and made sure to clean up everything when they were done. Fence looks amazing and we will definitely use Universal again as well as refer them to others. Working with Elder was a positive experience. The crew was on time and installed almost 400 linear feet of fence in two days. The entire team was very nice, accommodating and willing to provide top customer service. Elder came both days to supervise the work and answer any questions.

This company came highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint.  My gates had rotten out, slagging and were no longer able to be closed.  The owner promptly replied to my request for service and his team of professionals came within a week of my speaking with him.  They replaced two gates connecting my fence on both sides of my house.  The craftsmanship and design were masterfully done. The gates are perfectly leveled and easy to open and close. I highly recommend them and would use them again if a need arise.
